Preparing For Your Senior Session

You are booked for senior photos… now what?

I’m going to prepare you for the day of details on getting your senior photos taken like what to bring to your senior session, what to expect, and lastly how you can bring personality to your senior pictures.

So… lets go over these 3 things that will prepare you for your session day

  1. What to bring

  2. What to expect

  3. Bringing personality to your photos

If you have any specific questions please ask them here!

  1. What to bring

  • Cap and gown

  • Extra shoes (if necessary)

  • Water & snack - depending on length of session

  • If you have multiple outfits, bring them on a hanger or nicely folded in a bag to carry from location to location easily. Remember to be cautious of wrinkles if going with a bag!

2. What to expect

  • Poses- classic poses as well as poses that showcase your personality. Many of my photos are also candid photos. Unless you have any specific poses chosen don’t worry about a thing I will guide you through your session!

  • Photos done per schedule- we will stay fairly close to the itinerary schedule that will be sent out 48 hours before session day, especially if we have to reserve the gym or another part of the school.

  • Expect sneak peaks 72 hours after scheduled session and the entire gallery 14 days post session

3. Bringing Personality to Your Photos

  • Part of any sports or clubs? Find one (or a couple) that represent them and how it is special to you and bring them to your photos. Please discuss with me if you will be bringing anything extra so I am aware and can schedule it in. We can also work together to pick locations and more to represent your hobbies. Ex. FFA Member taking their senior photos at the school farm.

  • Take a look at any special poses you’d like, don’t be afraid to be yourself and make these photos memorable where in 30 years you take a look back at these photos and remember these times and puts you back. That is what makes them special. We will always have the classics so don’t be afraid to bring personality.

Let me know if you are going to bring anything to your senior session and make sure to email me if you have any other questions about session day!

Remember- the most important thing is to have fun.

xx, Billie
