Capturing True Love in Knights Ferry
There’s something magical about capturing true love, especially when it happens during a golden sunset at Knights Ferry. With their adorable pups by their side and music filling the air, this couple radiated joy, laughter, and pure connection. Every moment was a reminder of how beautiful love is, and I’m beyond excited to photograph their upcoming elopement! 💍✨
If you’re ready to capture your own love story, let’s create something unforgettable together! 💛
There’s nothing sweeter than seeing two people completely and utterly in love, and I had the pleasure of capturing just that during a recent photoshoot at the breathtaking Knights Ferry! ✨ The sun was just beginning to dip below the horizon, casting the most beautiful golden glow over everything, and let me tell you, the love between these two? It was radiating like the sun itself!
…
From the very first shot, I could feel the love they have for each other. It was like the whole world melted away to them, leaving only their connection in the warm, glowing light. And their dogs? Oh my goodness! 🐾 They added just the right amount of cuteness and fun to the shoot—running around, snuggling up, and getting in on the photo action! It was a session to remember, with such sweet people.
We had music playing and it was truly just a great time💛 They laughed, gazed in each others eyes, and whispered sweet nothings to each other, totally lost in the moment.
…
Those are the moments I live for as a photographer—when a couple’s love takes over and creates these raw, real, and unforgettable moments. At the end of the day I want this to be special for you guys, a day to remember.
As if this session couldn’t get any more special… these two are now engaged! 💍 And guess what?! I’m beyond excited to say I’ll be photographing their upcoming elopement photos, and I can already tell it’s going to be just as full of joy, love, and beautiful moments as their sunset session.

Photos in a creek…
Creek Session + Story Time
A creative shoot…
I did this shoot purely for fun, and to get creative and get out of the little rut that I was in. In the meantime I made this magic…
When I asked my cousin Char if she could be my model for this photoshoot and she said yes, I already had a vision of what I wanted.
…
My vision was boho, free-spirited vibes and I am happy with what we ended up with. I told her the vibes and visions I had with my guidance we pulled off these looks.
.
..
on our way…
..
we stopped at three different spots the spot I originally had wanted to go was given to me by my lovely man who showed me these directions through a satelite 3D map to see all the backroads him & his friends use for fishing!!!
so yeah….
that backfired into a trail through blackberry bushes which fyi… have thorns!!! ouch. back up through the trail
to spot #3… THE ONE
Running out of time quickly trying to make it to the spot before it gets dark.. dusk is already upon us we captured these photos within 20 minutes of being there…

Mini Session in the Pasture
Sarah and Chris LaRue.. a relationship for over 20 years…
Photographing 20 years of memories, hard times, great times, and everything in between.
These two had a mini session on their property.
Sarah wanted the wildflowers that grow in her pasture year after year to be photographed with them.
A little back story on the clients…
These two love birds happen to be my aunt and uncle, sarah who is my Nina and uncle Chris.
Who started dating, if I’m not mistaken,,, junior year of high school snd now their children are in college.
They moved to the country away from their suburban home a couple years of ago and have been thriving in that lifestyle that brings between the cattle, horses, and chickens. They have their hands full.
Memories that have been created, and many more to come.
A perfect touch to their photos was that their horses were loose in the pasture. Needless to say… they did not want to leave them alone either! I had to actually shooe them away at times because the only thing in my frame was a big ol’ horse butt!
Buuuttt.. it was totally worth it because look how pretty with them in the background… and they are their babies after all!
With all that being said, it was a beautiful session, beautiful weather, and all together a great time. It is amazing how many shots you can get in a mini session which is only 20 minutes of time!

I’m going to prepare you for the day of details on getting your senior photos taken like what to bring to your senior session, what to expect, and lastly how you can bring personality to your senior pictures.
So… lets go over these 3 things that will prepare you for your session day
What to bring
What to expect
Bringing personality to your photos
If you have any specific questions please ask them here!
What to bring
Cap and gown
Extra shoes (if necessary)
Water & snack - depending on length of session
If you have multiple outfits, bring them on a hanger or nicely folded in a bag to carry from location to location easily. Remember to be cautious of wrinkles if going with a bag!
2. What to expect
Poses- classic poses as well as poses that showcase your personality. Many of my photos are also candid photos. Unless you have any specific poses chosen don’t worry about a thing I will guide you through your session!
Photos done per schedule- we will stay fairly close to the itinerary schedule that will be sent out 48 hours before session day, especially if we have to reserve the gym or another part of the school.
Expect sneak peaks 72 hours after scheduled session and the entire gallery 14 days post session
3. Bringing Personality to Your Photos
Part of any sports or clubs? Find one (or a couple) that represent them and how it is special to you and bring them to your photos. Please discuss with me if you will be bringing anything extra so I am aware and can schedule it in. We can also work together to pick locations and more to represent your hobbies. Ex. FFA Member taking their senior photos at the school farm.
Take a look at any special poses you’d like, don’t be afraid to be yourself and make these photos memorable where in 30 years you take a look back at these photos and remember these times and puts you back. That is what makes them special. We will always have the classics so don’t be afraid to bring personality.
Let me know if you are going to bring anything to your senior session and make sure to email me if you have any other questions about session day!
Remember- the most important thing is to have fun.

3 Tips On Taking Photos With Dogs Successfully
Taking Photos With Your Animals Should Be Fun
Hey! Here are my TOP three tips for you.
All photos are my work, click here to see more of Billie Cheyanne Photography!
Located in the Escalon - Ripon - Manteca area of Central Valley, California.
1 . Tips on Getting Dogs To Pose For Photos
Treats
Must I say no more…. TREATS!!!
The number one tip I have for anyone trying to get their animal to pose, simply are treats.
The power of some good treats + a quick couple snaps of the camera should be the perfect combination for a beautiful photo.
Training treats are the absolute best due to their small size! Linked are some of my go-to’s.
Favorite Toys
You know THAT toy, they all typically have that ONE!
With that being said, don’t feel weird for bringing toys, treats, whatever you know works well for your fur baby!
MUST-HAVE TOYS
-Ball
-Rope
2. Pose Ideas with your Dogs
Candid (Natural)
Not every photo has to be posed!
Personally, non- posed in the moment photos are some of my favorite photos
Because…
They represent you!
How do you get candid photos?
By simply being yourselves and doing things you normally would do as if the camera is not even there
Posed (The Process…)
Getting your dog set up will be the very last step!
Have everyone in the photo get situated THEN call the dog over
TREATS!! (Or fav toy) comes in handy at this exact moment
Smilllleeee! Everyone should be prepared to look at the camera and ready for photos to be captured
At the end of the day, the photos may not be absolutely perfect, but they should represent you + your fur babies
3. What to wear/ Making your dog stand out in photos
Does my dog need something to wear? Of course it is not a MUST.
But…
It will definitely help with shining light on your pup.
The Carhartt Vest used in the session showed here comes in so many different colors! And such comfy material for your pup too! Click here to buy.
